Initial phase shows sustained patient engagement, reduced acute care utilization and a scalable approach to delivering continuous cancer care beyond the clinic
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 20, 2026 – Reimagine Care today announced the expansion of its AI-enabled virtual oncology care program with Moffitt Cancer Center, building on early outcomes during an initial implementation phase related to patient engagement, symptom management, and acute care utilization. The model extends cancer care beyond scheduled visits through continuous support powered by Reimagine Care’s AI-powered assistant, Remi, and a dedicated oncology virtual care team.
The expansion follows a successful initial phase that demonstrated the model’s ability to deliver high-quality, continuous care outside traditional settings while improving both patient experience and system performance.
- Nearly 7,000 patient interactions across proactive check-ins, electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePROs), symptom pathways, and clinical escalations
- 97% of patient encounters independently resolved by Reimagine Care without escalation to Moffitt providers
- Only 2.4% of interactions resulting in emergency department referrals
- 94% of symptom management encounters resolved virtually without patients needing to leave their homes
- 99% patient engagement in month one, with sustained engagement of 81% in month two and 76% in month three. 63% of patients retained in the program and still engaging at six months – more than three times higher than typical industry retention rates of less than 20% beyond 90 days
- An average patient satisfaction score of 9.3 out of 10, with patients frequently commenting on the high-touch, high-quality service of the Reimagine Care oncology care team and Remi’s regular check-ins.
